I found this good-condition paperback at a local Savers thrift shop, and thought it looked like fun - though of course I'd rather that any book-club meetings that I attend do not include actual corpses!

While the story's rather standard for this sub-genre of themed-cozy-mystery, it had some nice elements, including the attempts by main character Lizzie (who's a reading specialist) to tutor a very reluctant-reader teenage girl. And I enjoyed seeing the reading lists for each character at the end of the book!

I enjoyed this and will definitely look for more in the series.

Lizzie is a sympathetic character, and I especially liked her efforts to reach the student she's tutoring. (I can identify). There are enough twists and turns in the plot to keep the reader guessing (this one, at least!). And the quotes from other mystery novels at the beginning of each chapter were a fun touch, as were the reading lists for each character at the end, mentioned by GoryDetails.

Left in the LFL at about 3:00. Hope someone will enjoy it!

I've been holding onto this book for over a month now, after finding it in the Belcher Street Little Free Library in Essex, MA. However, my waiting-to-be-read shelf in my personal library is so overstuffed that its almost buckling, so I'm setting this one free while away on vacation so that it can continue on it's journey from reader to reader.

This book was released in the Little Free Library on Shore Road in Southwest Harbor, ME, while we were visiting on our vacation. Enjoy!
