Fateful Harvest

Great. An expose on another major loophole in our food chain safety that no one wants to talk about. Wilson started covering a story on a wacko mayor in Washington who was claiming that farm fertilizers where contaminated with really bad stuff.
Turns out she was right. If it is industrial Toxic Waste, you must track it, bury/treat it in very expensive ways. If it comes into your facility as Toxic waste and has any lime or 'soil additives' in it, presto!!!! it is a soil additive that can be added to fertilizer without needing treatment. Gee, you think that may be why rice from the USA has the highest arsenic levels? Oh for pete's sake. How stupid are we?
Fly far little book!

Looks like it will remind me of Omnivore's Dilema. Sometimes it's satisfying to read a book I know will anger me -- especially since I lived on the West Coast.
