Bought second hand from Vinnies. I've just finished reading this book for the second time. The first time was a good couple of years ago now (must have been prior to me getting the internet at home because I've only just been to the website) and found it entertaining enough then to warrant a second read now after finding it in the op shop.
Basic premise is that a guy called Danny puts an ad in his local paper saying 'Join Me' but giving no info as what people might actually be joining. He was inspired by a story about his great-uncle who tried to start a commune, but really he was bored more than anything and needed a project. To his surprise he actually got a response to the ad and from there his project started to take over his life.
Over 10 years later it appears that the collective is still going with new members joining and communicating on the online forum, though whether Danny has anything to do with it anymore, I have no idea.
An easy read. Gets you thinking about random acts of kindness that you can do to make strangers happy. Which makes it a fairly apt book to be starting its BookCrossing journey as an RABCK.
