Against expert advice, Terry and Monica decide to take their canal narrowboat and dog across the Channel and go for a bit of an adventure to the waterways of France. Beats boring oneself to death at retirement!
A kind courier will pass this on to the next reader, thank you!
This courier is allowed to eat from the load. The book is on its way to Kirjakko, but it takes some time.

The boat and its travels are interesting. But I did not quite like the writing style of the author.
The book found its new reader at the meet-up in Coffee House in Porvoo.
Happy reading!

Got this already a few days ago, but it was buried under all the books I had to take back from the meet-up when nobody picked them and I just re-found it. I've been on a Pirkka-magazine's bus trip in Camerque and motoring up and down Rhone with Kristina Cruises (Croisi Europe), so I would imagine I should feel at home on the pages of this book. However, if the writer is boring, not even the nicest corners of France will save the story. Luckily goodness is in the eye of the beholder, so let's see.
I still haven't read the book, but took a new bag of books to my old friend Elisabeth, who has been lending books from me for about a year now, as she has not been out of the house much due to corona. Picked the old bag up as well and we had a wee picnic in the park as the weather was lovely.

Sorry, but I did not read this book. These kind of boat trips usually show how people willingly put themselves in into disasterous situations. Totally insane, if you ask me.
