This was a different kind of story from Patterson. Set in mid-evil times during the Crusades. Hugh De Luc goes to fight in the Crusades and when he returns home, he finds that killers have kidnapped his wife and slain his young son. These ruthless killers have destroyed his town searching for a priceless relic from the Crucifixion. He sets out to find his wife and you'll be amazed at what the journey is like.
