Ellory is not your average or even above average thriller writer, if you are looking for a quick 'whodunit' cross him off your list, he is so much more than that! His books are detailed and excellently researched, I'm always amazed that he is actually British but writes so well in the America idiom, he never seems to put a foot wrong. His writing is beautiful, nuanced and detailed and yet his stories are well grounded in reality. My only complaint is with the publishers, the font is so small, it really challenged my eyesight, especially late at night! Thanks Krissa, for this lovely surprise.
