I registered this book in 2004 but this was my first re-read since some time in the early 1970s. I initially gave it 8 stars because although I could remember that I enjoyed the book I could not remember how much so I am now giving it a full 10 stars. This has to be my new favourite 'Heyer' regency novel. I just loved the wit and the easy flow of the narrative which had me laughing practically all the way through the book. It took me a few chapters before I realised that the male hero had to be the initially stuffy Charles Rivenhall (who was already engaged to be married) but through the book he undergoes a waking up of his true character by his redoubtable cousin Sophy..
