to be read... (as soon as possible, actually!)
an interesting book if you're into this topic, which i decidedly am. the author uses a week-by-week structure, mostly i think to give you a better sense of how the summer and it's accompanying mood in the industry progressed, and possibly to create a sense of suspense about their fate. for me, the format was somewhat irritating, since i am enough of a dorky student of hollywood that i already knew how all of these movies had performed. i would have preferred reading about each movie self-contained from beginning to end. however, there where several interesting bits of info about both suits and talent, which is always the most fun part of these books.
