[Ring] The Darcys of Derbyshire

Bought it because I cannot resist a Darcybook :-)
"Elizabeth Bennet longs to see the view from the famous Black Rocks in Derbyshire, but her aunt and uncle refuse to allow her to climb to the highest rock outcroppings alone. Elizabeth's distress is only worsened by a chance encounter with Mr. Darcy -- at least until he offers to escort her to the top. But unbeknownst to her, the Black Rocks have a very special meaning for him. As Darcy tells her the tale of his parents' courtship and marriage, Elizabeth, like Darcy's mother before her, is forced to confront the true power of family and destiny atop the Black Rocks."

This is not a full novel, but a small part of what could have been. I did not like it as much as the real Darcynovels from Mrs. Reynolds I have read so far. It is nice and sweet, but Elizabeth changes her mind too quickly.
This arrived in my mail today, and as I was just about to assist my son in his midday nap... I started reading right away. I managed more than half until he finished his nap and have finished the novella now. I very much enjoyed reading it :o)
Thank you, Rochester, for this entertaining spin-off.
What shall I do with it now?

Yes, I do have quite some novels from Mrs. Reynolds. You can have a look on my bookshelf or check the AustenSpinOffThread on my profil.

I read it again.
This is not Darcys and Lizzys story, but the story of Darcys parents. And it is not the real story, but rather the story which was told by the parents to their children I believe.

I guess it's due to not being able to travel to England this year, that keep looking at my Peak District photograph of the last two year traveling. And that brings me back to Darcybook :-/
I like it that Sir Lewis de Bourgh had been a Mr. Berg in this version who made his money in trade before marrying Cathrine.
