Welcome to BookCrossing!
Thanks for taking the time to read my journal. The book you've found is now yours, no strings attached! You can keep it forever or read it and pass it along like I did. It would be great though, if you could take the time to write a quick note so that I know it found a new home. You can stay annoynomous or sign up. It is free to join and no one gets your email address (plus no spam). If you sign up you will also get notifications if anyone else journals about this book, which is exciting. Please consider using Crossing-Guard as your referring member if you do sign up. Who knows how far this book will travel...
Picked this up at When Words Collide when I attended a book launch. Had the opportunity to meet the author and get this book signed.

Interesting book about a boy trying to become a super hero. I enjoyed his quests but found at times that things were wrapped up in too nice of a bow. Normally I am a sucker for happy endings but these just seemed to work out too well if you know what I mean. Still a good read and I am pleased that I have the sequel on my shelf ready to go.
Are you in the Calgary area and interested in meeting up with other Calgary BookCrossers? Please check out our facebook group, "BookCrossing Calgary" for details on how. Meeting are held on the second Saturday of every month starting at 11am. Location is unknown, please PM me for information. New Crossers are always welcome.
Taking this to the February Calgary meet up. I'm sure it will find a new reader here. I do want this book back at some point as it is a signed copy.

Picked up at the February meet up of Calgary BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant.
I called the "50 page rule" a bit early, but I couldn't stand the relentless bully.
Will pass to the next reader.

Taking to the July 2016 meet-up of BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant, to find a new reader.
Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing July meet-up. Sounds like a cute book and the author is local, too.
I don't know what to make of this book. It's a cute story about a boy wanting to help people, but the execution was kind of awkward. Mik's parents are way too accepting of all of his strange questions and crazy antics and some of the scenarios don't feel plausible. I mean, a hang glider patched up with a tarp and some duct tape is not going to fly, no matter how high the spot you push off from.
And then Mik's librarian friend gets super powers? I found that to be a really weird plot development. I mean, there's nothing saying that the mystical isn't a real thing in Mik's world, but everything before that was very grounded. An amusing read, but I can see why people had troubles getting past the first few chapters.

Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing September meet-up.
No takers on this one, so I'm journalling it back in for the next meeting.
Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing October meet-up.
Picked this up at the October/Thanksgiving meeting, so thankful for all my friends in BookCrossing. Despite it being a long weekend and their being snow on the ground, we had 11 attendees and LOTS of books.
This one is back with me.

Picked up at my daughters as need a when words collide category on the 2018 bingo challenge...but after reading the journaling below, maybe it will be a “50” pager category! Oh....it is also first in a series!
I am taking this book to our monthly bookcrossers meet up at Cravings - the second Saturday of every month- to pass on to the next reader.
I picked this up at the May meetup at Cravings.
It was a fun read, even if parts were "suspend reality". He is kind of a funny character.
I am taking this to the March meetup at Cravings,
