1 journaler for this copy...
I found this good-condition softcover on the used-manga shelves at Harrisons Comics, and nabbed it for another release copy. (I enjoyed the anime based on the original novels too.)
The series is about a team of people with different psychic abilities who join together to deal with paranormal problems, with some mild romantic interest/jealousy here and there.
The story opens with high school student Mai running afoul of the ghost-hunting team that's investigating hauntings at the old school buildling; she accidentally causes an injury to Lin, the tall dark and silent assistant to head ghost-hunter Shibuya, and Shibuya (whom Mai promptly dubs "Naru" for "narcissist") insists that she take over as assistant until Lin recovers.
The investigations include scientific methods - monitoring temperature, seizmic activity, subsonic sound, etc., but the team also has a miko, a psychic, a monk, and a priest on call. And it turns out that Mai has been having these dreams in which she learns things about the cases - though she's unsure of herself and reluctant to inform the team about it.
The stories seem to be a mix of actual supernatural incidents and real-world manifestations, keeping the reader uncertain - a nice touch. There's a lot of interesting folklore, too, and some very creepy sequences.
