One of the best Kinsey Millhone mysteries I've read, and they've ALL been good.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I love Sue Grafton's alphabet series, and it's holding up well as she gets to the end. U is for Undertow moves from the 1960s to the 1980s as Kinsey uncovers the kidnapping of a child.
To be released at the October York Bookcrossing meetup.

This picked up interest as it went along - the beginning was quite low-key and I wasn't familiar with the character or the series generally, so I wasn't sure if it would draw me in at first. But after a few red herrings were dispatched and some additional details were thrown in, I enjoyed it a lot more.
I was less interested in the details about Kinsey's family life, but I suppose I have come late to the party and there are regular readers who care about that sort of thing.

Enjoyed reading a female protagonist without any romantic concerns. Found the hopping ip and down the timeline a bit confusing at first but enjoyed how all the threads of the plot came together.

I loved 'S is for Silence', so I have great hopes of this one.
