So sorry but I was sure I had journalled that I received this last weekend.
Anyway, I've finished it now and really enjoyed it. These are such good stories and love the period they are set in - and it is so descriptive. I hadn't read the fifth book but it didn't really matter. There were some points which I didn't know had happened butthey were fully explained so you weren't really missing anything. Thank you so much for emailing me about this bookring.
PS loved the postcard

On it's way in the bookring.
Received safely in the post, thank you.
Enjoyable, and at times sad book. I shall miss Richard Nottingham, but I think this series has run its course. I dislike it when series go on and on, getting poorer and poorer and ultimately tedious.
PMing Deltic for his address.

Enjoy!
Arrived safely, yesterday morning. Thank you!
Mrs Deltic has finished andenjoyed the book and finally allowed me to read it too!
She says "A fast moving story with great historical insight of the town I grew up in."
I too enjoyed the story. Chris Nickson is not afraid to hurt his characters. With some authors you just know that the main characters will always come through totally unscathed. I also found the history fascinating and although Leeds has lost most of its buildings from the period, it is interesting to find them on a modern map. We traced Timble Bridge as being somewhere underneath the huge roundabout by the bus station and the Parish Church. This is not the church in the book but is the replacement which was built on the same site not long after the period described.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
To be taken to the Uncon for the book buffet
Picked up from the book buffet at this year's Bookcrossing Uncon at Northampton/Duston 2019. Adding to TBR as I recognised the author's name as one of the authors from the Leeds Unconvention back in 2013, but I see that it's one in a series, and now I'm wondering whether I need to read the earlier books for it to make sense. I might be dropping you a line about that, ReetPetite.... Thanks for sharing and onto TBR!
