The Original Buck Rogers Novel.The cover art of this paperback is hysterically funny!I really don't think Buck Rogers would have been caught dead in that awful outfit!the book is as funny as the film,but it does have an afterward by Harry Harrison.

Hmmm! I don't know where this book has been for the last 3 years and 2 months, it was released into the Post Office section of Martin's Newsagents in March 2004 and guess where I found it today?
That's right, in the Post Office section of Martin's Newsagents in Leatherhead on a shelf next to the photo booth.
OK so we don't tidy that often, but 3 years! Unbelievable!

There has been some speculation as to the whereabouts of this book over the past three years.
One theory proposed was that it must have entered another dimension!
As unlikely as this may sound, there is strong evidence to support this theory from the book itself :-)
A line from the prologue to the book reads "a period of nearly five hundred years, I spent in a state of suspended animation".
Obviously a Post Office customer reading this has tried to beat the long queue, quite usual in Leatherhead PO, by entering a state of suspended animation. The book has fallen from their sleeping fingers and re-entered our dimension, the customer will emerge in another 497 years hoping to be at the head of the queue!
Further investigations, into the "SPACE" between the Photo Booth and the Post Office Counter for signs of Wormholes and/or doorways to parallel dimensions, are continuing.
