Picked up at the Greensburg-Hempfield Area Library Used Book Sale in Greensburg, Pa., in May 2014.
Surprised once again by Ms. Christie. Interestingly set in Ancient Egypt, original publication date 1944, after five long years of war with possibly no end in sight. Lots of talk about evil coming from within and how people show their true nature in times of stress; also about understanding the world view and not isolating oneself, or caring only for your blood kin. I didn't care for how often the women characters were called stupid and slow; actually some of the men were as well. Is that racism or plot device?
