The box arrived safely on this bitterly-cold day, just ahead of yet another snowstorm; many thanks! While I doubt I'll be inspired to draw manga myself, I do look forward to some how-to information, in a more basic form than was included in the fascinating-but-not-for-novices Bakuman series!

Later: Lots of good information here, including a look at the use of screen tone and other background effects, the kinds of things that enhance the images but that often aren't noticed. I'll be more aware of them in future.

The interviews with the artists were good, too, including the inspirations that got them into the profession and with tips for wannabe mangaka.

[Update: edited to add a link to a How to Draw Manga column from the Manga Connoisseur, with reviews of several different draw-manga books - though not this one! Has some entertaining points to make about genre and style and assumptions.]

Released 8 yrs ago (5/3/2015 UTC) at Main Street (See Release Notes For Details) in Nashua, New Hampshire USA

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I left this book on one of the ornamental flowerbeds near the Main Street bridge at around 2 or so, after a lovely brunch at the Peddler's Daughter pub. Hope the finder enjoys the book!
