1 journaler for this copy...
1978 Del Rey paperback of the 1971 second book in the series. This was next on my list to read by this author when I bought this copy a couple weeks ago for 10 cents from the sale shelf at Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1968 Dragonflight [read 2014]
Edit February 17, 2015: The scope of this world is impressive, but as a story, it just gets bogged down in constant petty politics among the vast complicated cast of characters and their dragons, or lizards. The ideas that tie this fantasy world into a prior technological civilization that has passed are the best part, as they try to recreate such things as telescopes and telegraph lines. And the mystery of the Threadfall is intriguing. I guess more clarity about that is to come later in the series. I currently have this ranked at #605 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
