Read this ages ago, long before BC; the plot revolves around the ability to send messages into the past, thus changing the present. Very convoluted but I seem to recall it making sense within the context of the story.
Here's another copy on my shelf.
This is one of Croyd's books that he doesn't want any more; it will be looking for a new home soon.
Note: the computer shown on the desk was pretty high-tech in 1980 when this book came out. ;)

In front of Cafe 8 1/2 (or VIII 1/2 if you prefer) seemed like a good place for Thrice Upon a Time. Released for GoryDetails's travel challenge: although no people travel through time in this story, the messages that travel backwards in time are central to the plot.
