Journal Entry 1 by winghyphen8wing from Honolulu, Hawaii USA on Sunday, August 17, 2014
Hannah Stern lives in New Rochelle, New York, with her parents and her younger brother Aaron. She dreads going to her family's Passover Seder because she says she's tired of remembering a past that she actually doesn't remember and doesn't really understand.

When she opens the door to welcome the prophet Elijah, she finds herself in a Polish village in 1942, living the life of an orphan girl named Chaya Abramowicz. When Nazi soldiers come to round up everyone in the village, she knows something is terribly wrong..but what can she, with her "memories" of the future, do?

This trade paperback once belonged to a school, but I bought it at a rummage sale. Here's another copy on my shelf.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Headed to New York - possibly for classroom use; Hannah travels back in time, so I'll count this as a release for GoryDetails's travel challenge.
