This book, "five point someone" is the inspiration for the movie "3 Idiots". I love "3 Idiots" so when I learned about this book a year and a half after first seeing the movie, I had to get it and read it.

I read about 1/2 the book, but sadly, my favorite character from "3 Idiots", Rancho was not from the original source material. I found I couldn't finish reading the book without being able to imagine my favorite actor, Aamir Khan, acting out in my imagination as the story unfolded. In the book, Hari is the main character who romances the Professor's daughter. The out-of-place (but not Rancho) character is named Ryan in the book.

After giving up on five point, I turned to Two States, which I enjoyed more.

I hear Chetan Bhagat is very popular with young adult Hindustanis, so I will try to release this book where someone who appreciates the book and author is likely to be.
