Native American Wisdom
11 journalers for this copy...
My mother-in-law passed this to me, and these little books make GREAT bookbox journals -- so I will find a good bookbox to use it as that.
Headed out with the A-Z bookbox
The box is starting with 26 books, one for each letter. The individual book's journal will indicate which letter it is for (there is also a sticky note with the letter on the book). If you need to switch around what letter the book is representing, please journal the change. In any case...have fun!

The box arrived today and I will make my selections in the next few days and get this in the mail. Thank you for sharing.
The box is backed, labeled and ready to mail as soon as I get to the PO.
Received the box! This is exciting, a real box of books to look through. Going to do that now. I'll be back after I make my selections.
I have mailed the box on to Gorydetails. Thanks for sharing this box with me.
The bookbox arrived safely today; many thanks! I was pleased to find this little book inside, as I'd released a copy in a geocache a few years back. The book includes a number of quotes from Native Americans, including Geronimo, Black Elk, and Mourning Dove, and is illustrated with some of Curtis' photographs taken in the late 1800's and early 1900's. A handsome little book, and a poignant one.
I haven't done an A-Z bookbox before, so this one might present some entertaining challenges in choosing suitable replacement books!
Update: My choices and replacements are listed below; stop reading now if you'd rather be surprised. (Mailed, 5/4, tracking # 9114999944313897202165)

O: The Outlaw Demon Wails with One Second After
P: Possession with The PMS Outlaws
S: Smokey Joe's Cafe with Steelhands
V: V with Villains Victorious
Y: Yondering with The Yard

If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it. Then, when you are ready, pass it along for someone else to enjoy! Thanks and happy reading!

Received innae's US Bookbox - Colors and this little Journal Book today (Monday, 21 July 2017). https://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/20/542280 At first glance, it appears that some of the books have a color in one of the Author Names, and others have a color in the Title. If both are acceptable, that may make it easier for others to join in. ; ) I won't be able to take a closer look and make my choices until perhaps Wednesday. In the meantime, I will continue reading this lovely little 3" x 3"Journal Book, which is quite interesting to me. It is filled with some fabulous black and white photographs, and quotations by some well known Native American Leaders, including Chief Seattle, Mourning Dove, Red Cloud, and this one by Lone Man [Isna-la-wica] - Teton Sioux..."I have seen that in any great undertaking it is not enough for a man to depend simply upon himself."...from the "One Sky Above Us: Unity, Individuality, and Custom" Chapter.
Really enjoyed reading this little Journal Book. THANK YOU for including me in your Colors Bookbox, innae!!! ; D I've chosen these two books...
White Teeth by Zadie Smith
https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/5534969
Sixty: A Diary of My Sixty-First Year: The Beginning of the End, or the End of the Beginning? by Ian Brown
https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/14203668
And added these two...thought I had more colors than this, but alas...
The GREY King by Susan Cooper
https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/add/887-14499443
CORALine by Neil Gaiman
https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/add/737-14510742
And will be sending the box out as soon as I receive an address. ; )

Checked the Forums one last time to see if anyone else was interested in this round of the Color Bookbox before I sent it home to innae. One last quote to share from this Journal Book travelling with it...from Chief Joseph in the "The Sweet Breathing of Flowers" Chapter:
"The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it. You might as well expect the rivers to run backward as that any man who was born a free man should be contented when penned up and denied liberty to go where he pleases."
Joseph [Hinmaton Yalatkit] (1830-1904) Nez Percé Chief
HAPPY READING!

There is a book in the book box that has not been registered or is not marked. The Grey King by Susan Cooper. I've had a crazy busy week with unexpected events to include spending the day in the Emergency Room with a friend and the funeral of a relative. It is a holiday weekend, so I will try my best to get this box moving this coming week.
