Mooched from the States.

Someone else commented on the cover and title of this book, and I have to agree - the title especially does not seem particularly appropriate. This being said, I thought this was one of Dahl's better books. I've read and enjoyed many of her contemporaries, and had not been bowled over by the historical I'd read by her. This one had quite an original take on the heroine. At the beginning it reminded me of a book by Jo Beverley, with the sister upstairs during a house party... (can't think of the title just now)... but this was quite a bit lighter in tone. A good quick read.
