Oooh! Anglophiles beware. Wonderful pictures, trivia and gossip about the making of the A&E series on Pride and Prejudice! Fun. Sort of a people magazine for literates.
Fly far little book!

I'm looking forward to this one. May just gaze at pix of Mr. Darcy for a while!
I enjoyed this book a lot, except the part where the author reminded the readers that Mrs Bennett was probably only about 40 years old. Makes it hard for me to continue to identify with Lizzie! It's a great behind the scenes look at my favorite filmed version of P&P. Colin Firth is my definitive Darcy.
Brought this to the meetup today to release to another Austen afficionado. Enjoy!

This is going into a book-to-film box. Although 'Pride and Prejudice' would probably get my vote as my most favorite book of all time, this is less about the book itself than the process of making a film.
So for people who enjoy reading about film-making, this is a real treasure trove. The detail and advance planning required is incredible! Most of it would never have occurred to me. It was an eye-opener, and I enjoyed every page. My favorite part was the "Diary of a Filming Day" on page 88, but every section was interesting.
For those interested in the finished product, here's the IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112130/?ref_=nv_sr_3
