3 short stories which trace the moral terrain of human nature
It will be released at Café Gloria
ok, I think someday I have to read this klunker, it's still one of my educational gaps ;)
Now (actually some time ago) I've finally read the dreadful gothic novella about the drug addict Dr. Jekyll who turns into an asocial thug under influence of the drug.
There are two other short stories in the book which I found almost more interesting. The Beach of Falesá describes a competition with deadly end between two copra traders and plays on the fictional South Sea island Falesá.
The Ebb Tide is Stevenson's last South Pacific fiction. It tells of three hapless, white men, a former captain, an ex-entrepreneur, a dubious beggar. They want to steal a ship with a cargo of champagne and sell it to Peru. Of course they never arrive there ...
The book looks nearly as ancient as the stories are, thus I gave it a new wrapper. As long as the pages don't fall out, it might yet journey far ;)
