Tænk på et tal first published in Denmark 1968. Translated from the Danish by David Hohnen. This translation published in Great Britain under the title Think of a Number by Michael Joseph 1969. Harmondsworth, Middlesex, England : Penguin Books 1978. Paperback, 222 pages.
The cover design incorporates scenes from the Mario Kassar, Andrew Vajna presentation of a Joel B. Michaels, Garth H. Drabinsky, Stephen Young production, The Silent Partner starring Elliott Gould, Christopher Plummer and Susannah York. Screenplay by Curtis Hanson (based on the novel by Anders Bodelsen). Original score by Oscar Peterson. Executive Producer Garth H. Drabinsky. Produced by Joel B. Michaels and Stephen Young. Directed by Daryl Duke. Distributed by Enterprise Pictures Limited.

The blurb:
The words had been prnted in block capitals. Big, careful, childish (or perhaps just completely impersonal) block capitals. At an angle, across the dotted lines where the customer was supposed to have written his name and number of his cheque account, Borck read:
THE THING IN MY POCKET IS A REVOLVER. HAND OVER THE CASH YOU'VE GOT IMMEDIATELY EITHOUT AROUSING SUSPICION.
Borck was the last to leave the bank. The chance discovery of this message on a counterfoil ecouraged him to believe that a cashier's life left a lot to be desired. . .
