I liked a lot.
But maybe The Vera Stanhope series is better. I have read The Glass Room and I think it was better than this book.

This was my first read by the author and I very much enjoyed it. I liked the slow paced plot which suited well with the islands atmosphere. The ending was a bit of a surprise. I would definitely like to read more from Ann Cleeves.

This was the first Ann Cleeves book for me too and I loved it! It was gripping, entertaining and surprising! I hope to read more of Jimmy Perez's adventures in the future.

An excellent who-did-it in-closed-space mystery. I really enjoy Cleeves' writing and Shetland, as well as Jimmy Perez. I'll surely read more of this series when I get my hands on them.
