When Lochdubh police constable Hamish Macbeth hears that a suave Englishman has moved into the backwater village of Drim, he knows there's bound to be trouble. And indeed, smooth Peter Hynd soon has the town's matrons giggling like teenagers as they ogle him, and some are even persuaded to hop into his bed!
All this is not going down well with the men of Drim - Highlanders whose feelings run deep - and trouble soon erupts. Although, when Hamish is summoned to Drim because Peter Hynd has disappeared and a body has turned up he's amazed to find out the corpse is not the man he expected.

Fun, fun, fun. Laugh out loud at parts. Great read.
