Text on backside:
Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But she's still not safe. A revolution is unfolding, and everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - everyone except Katniss.
And yet she must play the most vital part in the final battle. Katniss must become their Mockingjay - the symbol of rebellion - no matter what the personal cost.
---------------------------------------------------------
Third and last book of the Hunger Games.
I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two. It's all about war. The real one outside and the war inside Katniss. And strange way the only persons who care for the victims seem to be Katniss and Peeta. Dying too many nice people. It is like real war, but think some could have survived and live in a new world. Especially one person. I mean, the whole story is about keeping this person stay alive.
Strange thing with those American authors is what they think teenagers can stand. That there is blood all about but the love story is not more then kissing and holding hands. Because of all the blood and dead people I wouldn't recommend it for younger children. As the two books before, too.
Loved to read about the whole new world Collins built up in her books. Was nice to read, but because I didn't like this one (or mostly the last part) it is good the story ends here.

Got back from our trip to visit relatives and this book from my wishlist was here waiting for me! Thank tou so much! :)
This was actually for my husband, who's been reading the Hunger Games books.
He thought it was ok for ending the series, but the ending of the book was a bit rushed. The last 30 or so pages were pretty stuffed. For a book for teenagers it was violent and dark.

I took the book to the local meetup to find new readers!
I took the book from today's meet-up for a fellow bookcrosser. This may not be her cup of tea but we'll see.. ;) Thank you for the book!

I'll take this book with me to the bc-meetup. If no-one wants it, I'll leave it in the cafe :)
Thank you for the book! I think I have this as finnish translation, but I'm not sure. But I prefer the original language, so probably I'll read this original copy and let the translation go. (I have the first in series but still miss the second one.)
edit 21.4. toukokuu is interested in this book.

I have the book in Finnish and this original - and as it turned out that toukokuu would like to read this (in English) - so here it goes. With the courier Flower78 toward tomorrows meet-up. Enjoy the read!
Many thanks for all of you have kept this book going! Thank you especially TiiMa and Flower78!

I've seen the first episode of Hunger Games movies, then read the second part. Recently I grabbed this last part to read it. This third book equals two movies and the fourth one is being advertised right now which might have initiated my reading. I like the basic idea of this how those who have so much entertain themselves with violence while others really struggle to stay alive. The love story doesn't really interest me so much. And I have to ask myself why on earth do I want to entertain myself with violence like this?
Katniss doesn't know who to trust. Beginning felt a bit slow but the book got better towards the end. It was a good get-away from any work-related stress. It's clearly targeted for a younger reader than myself. I'm a bit curious to see the movies too and maybe read the first book someday.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
The book didn't find any new readers in our meeting today, so I decided it to leave it to my local library's book crossing shelf. If you find the book, please write a journal entry! You can leave it anonymous if you don't want to create a profile (which I can recommend warmly). Read the book, leave it somewhere, give it to someone and have fun bookcrossing!
