From the back of the book:
"Do you think that access to magical powers would help your love life?
Who doesn't?
Which is where good witch Emma Hutch comes in. By day, she's your average, stylish girl about town... By night, she puts her witchy ways to the best possible use, casting spells to match Manhattan ladies to the men of their dreams - for a small fee, of course.
In fact, she's so good at her job that business is booming. The only snag is her own love life, which is distinctly lacking in sparkle. But when Emma is hired to match the city's most eligible bachelor with an evil scheming socialite, suddenly her supernatural work ethic is put to the test. And just maybe it's time to break the rules and turn a little magic onto herself...
"

From Amazon:
Could magical powers help your love life? Prepare to be spellbound by Valerie Frankel's warm, funny romance. Emma Hutch is a witch who puts her supernatural powers to good use by styling herself as the ultimate matchmaker. Although she can't always promise true love, a ring or even commitment, she can guarantee that all-important first date between one of her clients and the object of his or her affections. The problem is, she spends so much time chasing after other people's love interests, she has no time for her own. Until, that is, she meets Liam Dearborn, Manhattan's most eligible bachelor, who's intent on putting Emma under his own powerful spell.

I am taking this book on holiday with me to Spain, to hopefully read and release. I don't expect it to be a long read!

I didn't quite manage to read it all on holiday, so brought it back home with me. I finished it pretty soon after, though. It has just taken a while to journal it (it has been sitting on my dining table cluttering up the place, so I have *finally* sat down to do this so I can declutter it, along with a bunch of others!).
It's not a bad book, though like many in this genre it has some significantly cringe-worthy moments included. Which is a shame, as I was really hoping this one would be different. I liked Emma, but the aspects of her character where she is self-recriminating were quite tedious.
I generally enjoyed the book but will not be reading it again. And I didn't find it particularly funny, despite the claim on the front cover by Meg Cabot that it "Had me laughing to the last magical page" - depends on your point of view, I guess!
I hope it finds an appreciative reader...
