Wild Rock, Vol. 1

I've been wanting to read this caveman-themed yaoi for some time, and finally found this battered-but-readable copy online. It's a charming story in which the shy young scion of one tribe finds that he's useless at hunting - but might be able to help his clan by dressing as a girl and seducing the studly warrior who's the son of the rival clan's chief. [Who thinks up these wacky schemes?] Anyway, he gives it a try, rather depressed at trying to fool a man he admires so much - but of course his act doesn't really fool Emba at all, and before you know it he's claiming Yuuen for his own.
One of the unexpected yet charming things about the story is that everyone seems pretty open-minded about the situation; Yuuen's father clearly cherishes him even though he knows he's no warrior, and frets when he thinks he's caused the boy grief. "He's my beautiful, my precious child..." {sniffle...} (We learn a bit more about Yuuen's father, and Emba's too, in a bonus story.)
There's also a charming bonus story about our heroes' lives a bit down the line - and a hilarious how-things-might-have-been-different omake at the end. I enjoyed this!
[The TV Tropes page is what first made me aware of this title.]

I'm adding this book to my Yaoi Manga shrinking bookbox, which will set out on its first leg tomorrow. (See the bookbox journal here for mailing order and contents.) Hope someone enjoys the book!
