This Book is Currently in the Wild!
6 journalers for this copy...
A selection of amusing things people have said in bookstores. Sometimes I wish there was a bit more context so I would know what book they might have been talking about or if it was a customer or member of staff that said it. As it is, I didn't really get about a quarter of them. Also, the book is a tiny thing with only one quote on each page, you can read it literally in less than 5 minutes, and it seems a bit 'empty'.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Off to Finland!
Arrived to my workmate, but she is busy, so I grabbed this before her.
Collection of short one-sentence anectodes heard in a bookshop. Some of them made me smile, but some weren't funny at all (or at least I didn't get them).
Here are some goodies:
"I asked for a book on The Beatles and he sent me to the Nature section."
"I don't know if it's fiction or non-fiction, the title is Dante's inferno."
Goes to Kirjakko.

Indeed we had a busy day, so I don't know when my workmate sneaked to read AND journal this!?? On my way home after a hectic day I decided I was too tired to cook and drove to a drive-in hot-dog stand where I read this while waiting for my order.
As an ex-bookshop keeper I have to say that I waited more from this book. Something in the lines of 'Weird Things Customers Say In Bookshops' which makes me roar in laughter and wipe my eyes. But that book is put together by people who work in a bookshop, this was done by somebody who just spent a lot of time in them.
My favourite was probably "I can't conceive of how Moby Dick became a classic - it's so boring!" Not only because everybody knows that classics ARE boring, but because several bookcrossers have complained just HOW BORING it is.
I'll see if this book is on the wishlist of anybody I know or else I'll take it to Berlin with me next week. Thanks for tagging me with this, teapot, if I hadn't read this I would have wanted to.

Ok, read it. Some pages are fun, some are not - but there is not enough of them! My favourite was "Some people like to think, but me, I just like to read" - it is bit like me :D
Saving this for a birthday present, because it is easy to send :D
