Though Yukari never expected it, she is now the new model for the student-clothing label, Paradise Kiss, and part of the fashion world. Her parents didn't expect it either -- in fact, they forbade it. But Yukari continues to see her fashion friends and gets kicked out of her house! Now she needs a place to live, but is not about shack up with George, the designer she just started seeing. Yukari will have to grow up fast if she's going to live alone. --------------------------------------------------- Read the 1st book of this series at a bookstore! =D and i gotta say that this manga has a unique story and a nice artwork! Arashi is so cool! I love his piercings!!!

Just received today! Thanks! I LOVE TOKYOPOP!!! I am not sure whether I should sneak into the bookstore and read the first one or just buy a copy. At first glance the art looks just awesome! Will this one be a bookring or bookray?

I bought the first book to add to my collection and I am so glad I did! This series is definitely a "keeper" (and I loved the references to "Velvet Goldmine"!). I'm really impressed with the storyline and the characters so far...

Journal Entry 7 by Jasmine-hime from Tucson, Arizona USA on Thursday, July 01, 2004
I received all the books a few days ago but did not have time till now to make a journal entry. I flipped through and the artwork looks great! I still have not read the first one but maybe I'll just skip it and jump right into vol. 2. I'll make more journal entries as I'm done with the books. Thanks for sharing these!

I just jumped right into this without reading the first volume but it was pretty easy to catch on. I found myself laughing at almost every page, which was great. Thanks for including me in this bookring, otherwise I would probably never have picked this manga up.

Journal Entry 9 by omly from Arlington, Massachusetts USA on Thursday, September 09, 2004
I haven't had a chance to read the first of this series, and sadly I am unlikely to as none of the book stores in the area have any of the back issues for this series. With that said I jumped right into this as soon as it arrived last night. I think it wasn't that bad to catch up on the storyline for the most part. I really like the recap and chatacter web at the beginning. They were very helpful when I was trying to figure out the background. At this point in the series I can't say that I really like either Yukari or George very much. Yukari is showing no major redeeming features, other than the fact that she "has long hair and long legs". Meanwhile George just strikes me as a user. This is not due to his sexuality considering I am very open both to bisexuality and polyamory. Rather it is just the way that he is emotionally manipulative. I am so glad I had the next book in the series though, as I wouldn't have wanted to wait all day to find out what happens next.
