Although this book was enjoyable enough to read and I liked the characters well enough, there was a part of the book that didn't sit well with me. Rose barely arrives in town and immediately integrates herself in other's lives and she is immediately embraced as if she has lived in West Memphis for years. Then Rose goes out of her way to ask people questions about the apparent suicide that happened on the day she arrived in town. She was seeking out the sheriff, EMT staff, the coroner... her investigation didn't ring true for someone who ended up in the town because her truck broke down.
Other than Rose's approach to researching the case and the way clues just seemed to appear at the right time, the story was entertaining.

giving to dabercro when I see her this weekend
Received from Aberpeter when I was with her this weekend. Thanks!
An enjoyable enough read. I found myself wanting to know more and found the book hard to put down. This book was plot driven. Newly divorced, Rose ended up at Shady Grove Campground when her car broke down. Within four days she became intertwined in the lives of the locals and solved the mystery of an apparent suicide. The quick acceptance and trust of Rose by the locals felt a little unbelievable. The people readily answering personal questions and allowing Rose to nose in their personal business didn't ring true.
