I got this slim, fair-condition softcover from the charity-sale bookshelves at Hannaford's, attracted by the cover art. It's a charming tale told wordlessly, with loads and loads of detail in the artwork - and some helpful hints at the end to assist the reader in knowing what to look for! Little vignettes in the background may illustrate well-known fairy tales, or reveal a villager's romance or a sneaky burglar, a duel or a nod to a famous painting. There are some perspective tricks, too, where one person seems to be leading a horse that's actually a statue on top of a tall column... lots of fun!

I plan to leave this book at the playground of New Searles School at around 2 or so; hope the finder enjoys it!
