Why isn't this novel more well-known or popular!? It's a wonderful, violent post-apocalyptic thriller with memorable, well-developed characters. If you've enjoyed Stephen King's "The Stand" or Niven/Pournelle's "Lucifer's Hammer", or played the amazing video game "The Last of Us", you have some idea what to expect here. I want to say more, but you should go in without knowing anything for maximum enjoyment. Highly recommended.

I'm going to have a coffee in Starbucks or Tim Hortons, read the last 50 pages or so, and then leave it for another kindred spirit. Enjoy!
