Oooooh, a mysterious package in the mail! What could be better than a wishlist book?! Thank you ever so much, Hammu! You really shouldn't have, such an enormously thick parcel... I can't wait to tuck into Atlantis, shouldn't have read the blurb right away!

I feel absolutely betrayed. The blurb is simply amah-zing and the basic concept for the book is mind-boggling, but the storytelling does not meet any of the expectations. It's clear Gibbins knows his sea archeology and all the technology, but he just simply isn't a captivating writer. The story keeps on dragging (they keep on discussing and explaining stuff too often for too long), the plot doesn't flow from one scene to the other, there are simply too many muddled characters and *gasp* far too many collective gasps... Imao, this is pure waste of time and paper. I'd much rather watch it as a mediocre tv movie than read the bad book. I hate hating a book that I've had on my wishlist, so I'm not going to give it any stars. Perhaps someone else in the future will love it *gasp*
