What in the world...? I nearly didn't open this as I thought it might be one of those early Birthday Group envelopes, but then curiosity got the better of me. Winner of a sweeps?? Cannot be - I must be the decoy, surely?
At the moment I'm far too impatient to hang out with these gentlemen who take ages in making up their minds on anything. I'm about to embark on a bummel of my on, my 50th Birthday Bummel to the UK. Of one thing I am sure, I won't be cycling anywhere!

This is a book I've been looking for, for ages, having read and enjoyed "Three men In A Boat", many times. I recently bought "Three Men In An Omnibus", thinking thinking that our "Three Friends" were actually travelling on a bus (what a silly billy). The omnibus was actually "Three Men In A Boat" plus other writings (but NOT including "On The Bummel").

Having been a big fan of "Three Men In A Boat", I have wanted to read this book for years. Although it's not the laugh a minute of "Three Men" it does have its moments. It is not always politically correct and it is very strange sometimes to be reading of Germany of from a time before both World Wars especially Dresden.
I'm glad I read this, but I probably won't reread it as many times as I have read "Three Men In A Boat".

Taking this to Leeds tomorrow as it's Heritage Weekend. Plan to visit Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House, and A railway roundhouse (Leeds and Thirsk Railway 1897) which is now a car showroom. Not sure where the book will be released yet, but will let you know.
