Sugar and Iced (Cupcake Bakery Mystery)
7 journalers for this copy...
Mel and Angie are roped into helping with a beauty pageant, they just have to supply cupcakes, and nothing else. The problem comes in when a body is found, and it's up to Mel and her crew to solve it. With all of this going on, Mel and Co, are supporting one contestant that is part of her inner circle. In a twist of events, someone that Mel and her friends don't like has turned over a new leaf, but not many trust that person. The problem is that a killer is waiting for Mel, and they will do anything to cover their tracks. If it means killing Mel, then so be it. That's all I want to say about the plot, anything more would be spoilers.
This is another strong installment. I like the character growth in all of the characters. They just seem so life like, and jump off that page at you. Also, the writing is very good. It has a few plot twists that will hold the readers attention to the very end. Of course, the recipes sound so good.
If you've read the other books in the series, then you know what to expect, and won't be let down. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

This arrived here in the Swiss Alps while I was on holiday... this will be a first for me as I haven't yet read any of these culinary related mysteries.. Thanks so much for sending!
I seem to be at the end of the ray so there is a bit less urgency to tackle this right away - unless someone informs me otherwise?
Thank you again for making this available.

I think this would be the sixth or so in the series which I haven't read. This isn't a big problem, although I always feel like I'm missing out on the background stories. This was fairly fun, but I don't know that I need to catch up with the ones I haven't read. l liked Lupe and Oz best...
It looks like I'm at the end of the ray? Unless I hear otherwise, I'll offer this up to travel further.

I really enjoyed this book! It was one of the best cozy mysteries that I have read! I hope to read more of the lives of the characters:)
I've been waiting for someone in Europe willing to post internationally to sign up for the ray... But as such person has not turned up I will try to get it posted across the pond myself...:)
