Wishlist tag for mathgirl40. Enjoy! :))
Thanks, anathema-device, for sending this wishlist tag book! The combination of SFF and Jane Eyre sounds excellent to me!
It's very difficult to classify this book. It has elements of fantasy, mystery, science fiction, romance and humour. It has a bit of everything and is written very much in the style of Douglas Adams’s books. I loved all the literary references, and the "reworking" of the Jane Eyre story. It’s not crucial that to have read Jane Eyre beforehand, but knowing the story enhances the reading experience so much more. This novel was thoroughly enjoyable and I'll be sure to seek out more in the Thursday Next series.
Thanks again to anathema-device for sending this very fun book to me!

Loved the reworking of the literature. And the alternate reality with Wales as a republic! Hilarious. Quite enjoyed this one.
This book is back in my hands now, and I'll be looking for another reader for it!

I left this book on the BookCrossing shelf. My family and I really enjoyed our visit to the Harbord House Pub. Great food and beer!
Found it at Harbord House, and it's going back there now.
Amusing, compulsive reading, and I'd be annoyed if more than a little of me were Welsh.
