The Audubon Reader
3 journalers for this copy...
I hope that this book travels more comfortably than its author. Audubon's adventures and hardships are detailed through a collection of letters and articles written for the audience of the day and are as a result, full of cruelty when judged by today's standards.

Released 9 yrs ago (4/21/2014 UTC) at Monthly BookCrossing Meet Up in York in York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I admit that I took this 'withdrawn from circulation' volume with the intention of cutting out the illustrations to frame. It seemed rude to do so without at least reading some of the text, which turned out to be quite entertaining. So off it goes on a journey . . .
Picked up at York Bookcrossers Easter meetup. Looks interesting.
I have enjoyed this book but must admit to not reading it as thoroughly as I would have liked. Lack of time meant I have only scanned it, and read parts that really grabbed my interest. The colour plates of the bird drawings are amazing!
Am taking it to the meetup in nottingham tomorrow to find a new reader.
