Amazon Editorial Review:
"This is the story of Karana, the Indian girl who lived alone for years on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. Year after year, she watched one season pass into another and waited for a ship to take her away."

I enjoyed rereading this novel that I read when I was in elementary school some 30+ years ago.
I enjoyed that that the leading character is a young girl of Native American Heritage and tells what it was like for her living alone on one of the Channel Islands off the coast of California before being rescued.
This is the 86th book I've read in 2016.
