This was one of my Dad's books as he liked Thurber a lot. I got the Thurbers when Dad passed away 13 years ago. I had tried only one which I didn't like, but kept the books all the same. Had it not been for shnedwards's wishlist this book might have stayed unread for the following 13 years as well.
A fairy tale with a bit of nonsense, rhyme and cheek - reminds me of Oscar Wilde and Roald Dahl. Thurber is American, but he has a very British sense of humour and way with words.

...And another wonderful read! Thank you again, kirjakko, for bringing this from Finland for me. I will hang on to it for a little while longer to share with my daughter and then pass it on.
