A world book night book
Picked this up at the Athens Bookcrossing Convention book buffet.
I read this on the way home from the convention. It was OK. I liked the description of the resistance work, not all of which was pleasant, but I just felt something was missing - I wasn't truly gripped by the story and didn't really care enough for the characters.

Taking to the Old Gang Meetup.
Sounded interesting so will give this a bash. Thanks for bringing along
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and the strong female characters who played such a vital role in the resistance work but often got overlooked. I also liked the setting in Denmark, a country I like very much !

Picked up at today's meetup thank you.
I tried this but realised very quickly that it wasn't the kind of historical novel I originally thought it was. Whilst the plot takes place during WW2, the style of writing feels quite modern, and it seemed to be dialling up the gritty emotion quite a bit. If it was a shorter book I'd have read it anyway, but it's about 500 pages and I have so many other books on my shelf that I decided to let this one go unread.
Sent to the winner of the International Stationery Sweepstakes. Enjoy!
