I only read this because it came in a package of books but I'm so glad I did!

It is full of twists and held my attention right to the end.

At Leeds meet-up

Journal Entry 3 by Vroomfondel from Shipley, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, September 15, 2004
Nobody wanted this book at the Leeds Bookcrossing Meetup :(
So, I've swiped it to take it to the Bookcrossing UK Yahoo! Group meet in Nottingham on 25 September.

Picked up at the Notts meet :-)
Nothing like a good mystery story for me, but I am afraid it will have to go on my TBR shelf for the moment, as I am busy with 4 bookrings/rays visiting my home.
I will make another journal entry once I've read it.

Journal Entry 5 by YowlYY at Nottingham, Nottinghamshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, March 16, 2016
After 12 years in my hands, time to give it a read! I'm already after p.50 (my usual treshold where I decide to continue to read or pass it on unread) and it is holding my interest, apart from some cringe-worthy sentences, which I hope won't show up more often.
An update on the book once I'm finished will follow.

This book is...two stories in one. It seems as if the author decided to bundle the two together, maybe because didn't have enough to make two?
Whatever the reason, one of the two, the first one, is the one that I think is quite plausible, even if with some exaggeration - but hey, it's fiction, so we just go along with it. The second one is just silly: too many coincidences, a very unbelievably built up plot, oh well, I just finished it because I wanted to see how silly it was going to turn out, and yes, it didn't redeem itself, sadly. So, only 5, and all of those are for the first part of the book only. Still, I saw that on Goodreads he got some raving reviews, so maybe it is just a matter of taste.
