Reading in the "Défi eclectique 2014 challenge". I loved this story on parallele world based on 2 différents times (1940 Word War 2 and today) and amazing powers of these children.
I can't wait to see the movie (Tim Burton realisator for mi-2016).
I have the second novel on my high TBR shelf since few months now, not read yet but soon.

I had wanted to read this for some time and I'll try to put it very high on my "to be read" pile, especially after Tizzalicious' enthusiasm. :)

I enjoyed the book, but I didn't know it was part of a series, so the ending was a bit of a letdown for me. The photographs throughout the book were very interesting, and I think that anyone looking at them must wonder about the story behind them. I think the author of this book did a very good job trying to explain the strange (or should I say peculiar) photographs with this story. Only when reading the book, I had the feeling the children were younger than some of the children in the photographs looked like. But all in all a very enjoyable read, and I'm happy to have read this book!

I hope this book will find a new reader here and that we'll hear where the book will travel next! :)

I've found this book weeks ago in the Minibieb Lincolnlaan. I almost finished it (maybe this night) and very much time to catch it. I found this book shortly after I saw the movie. We liked the movie a lot and I brought the book home to let my partner wonder about the pictures he should almost recognize. It worked!

I noticed some great differences between book and movie and like them both. I'm not sure what to think about the theme. Is it fantasy or horror? And what is the real horror story? The hidden children? The way they hide? Or the reason they hide?

Read by someone else as well, now on the way to a new reader.
