Funniest book I have read in a long time! Carl Hiaasen did a reading and book signing in Boston and was an absolute hoot! He told this story about sending money away as a kid to buy a monkey and it did arrive to his surprised parents' chagrin. Very entertaining. I will definitely seek out more of his books.

Tremendously entertaining, and consistently difficult to put down. Structurally interesting, as the big reveal arrives much earlier than one might expect, which allows the dénouement a more relaxed (and plausible) pace. Strongly recommended, even if you're not a non-human-primate enthusiast.*

*To clarify: a human primate enthusiastic about NHPs (as opposed to an enthusiastic NHP).
