released at coffee link meet up
I found this in Coffee Link after a Bookcrossing meet up. As I like Stuart MacBride's later stuff I thought I'd give it a go.
The setting of Glasgow in the not too distant future is very realistic. The ultra-violence of the forces of law and order and their clashes with the deprived community are not for the faint-hearted and coupled with the serial killer's activities are beyond anything MacBride has given us in the Logan books and I gave up on this for a bit.
MacBride's black humour is there but the characters are a little too one-dimensional.
A reasonable read if you've a strong stomach and a liking for shoot-em-up games.
