Taking to the February "Giants" meeting, since it's a fairly large book. This has been on my shelf for several months, and it was on the pile for films but didn't quite get to the top. Then I went to Edmonton for the weekend my best friend's due date fell on and they had started the movie of this about 20 minutes before I arrived! So I saw most of the movie and then (after the joyous arrival of godchild #3 later in the weekend! Also a bit of a giant herself, coming out at over two pounds heavier than forcasted at a whopping 9 pounds 2 oz!) I picked up the book when I got home.

My 12 year old has been bugging me for months to read this book and to see the movie when it comes out next month. Looks like I will have to read the book first...but there are so many books that have been waiting on my TBR mountain range longer. What to do, what to do?

Good book. The movie combined scenes. Liked that I could the characters were clearer in the book. Have to find the second one now.

I've just finished reading it. An enjoyable book, and I'll look out for the others in the series. I was a little frustrated at times as it couldn't seem to decide if it was an action/drama or a soppy romance, but only a small complaint. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.
