from amazon.com:
Philip Gonzalez had lost all interest in living after an industrial accident left him disabled. A friend suggested he adopt a dog.Reluctantly he went to the shelter, where Ginny, a badly abused one-year-old pup, quickly won him over. Philip realized immediately that Ginny was no ordinary dog--she had an amazing sixth sense that enabled her to find and rescue stray and ailing cats. There's Madame, who is completely deaf; Revlon, who has only one eye; Betty Boop, who has no hind feet and Topsy, a paralyzed kitten whom Ginny found abandoned in an empty building. Ginny and Philip have now rescued and found homes for over 200 cats, and they have over 60 "outdoor cats" whom they visit and feed twice daily. Even more than extraordinary, Ginny's angelic mission has given Philip a sense of purpose and a new lease on life.

Awww, after reading this I just wanted to hug and thank Ginny and Philip for their cat rescue work! Ginny is a wonderful dog with an amazing gift - not just for helping cats but for helping the humans in her life as well. A touching true story that I finished in a day.

The book just arrived in my mailbox and I can tell in a glance that I won't be able to wait long to read it. With so many troubling things going on in the world It's a pleasure to "spend time" with with a story like Philip and his amazing dog, Ginny.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

This is an unbelievable story almost too wonderful to be true. You will never forget the adventures of Ginny, the dog who rescued cats.

I would rate this book a 9 out of 10-It's a great book that I recommend to anyone with a soft spot for animals.

On JUN 29 I'll be mailing it to Lincolnshire in the UK.

Thank you thank you thank you for sending me this with list book, I really appreciate it :-)

30 Sept 16 - I love cats, I have three at home, so a book about a dog who rescues them sounded right up my street!! And this really is a very sweet tale, it starts out with how the author and Ginny the dog met. They say that pets choose their owners and this was no exception (I completely agree this can happen, my hubby was definitely chosen by our old boy at the cat rescue home). It then goes to tell how Ginney had an instinct for finding strays, particularly those with health issues. The author ended up with cats that were deaf, blind, brain damaged or with missing limbs. My hat goes off to him though, for he goes out everyday to feed the strays, and has rehomed those that seriously needed it. Those that he could round up, he did, and took them to be neutered to prevent the population of strays getting out of hand. He must have one very good vets surgery to go to.

A lovely story about a dog who is very sensitive to disability (and rescues a human and then lots of cats).

Thanks again kingfan30 for the surprise RABCK. This may go to my sister first before I send to another Bookcrosser.
