It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Please consider using Crossing-Guard as your referring member if you do sign up. Who knows how far this book will travel...

Picked this up at Chapter's for $2, it was so cheap that I just couldn't resist! Plus I would enjoy learning more about Joan of Arc, even if it is a fictional account of her.

This was an interesting look at the life of Joan of Arc. What an amazing story! To think she was an illiterate peasant that ended up riding at the head of the French army, just incredible.

Saving this for the "Everyone Has a Story" themed Calgary meetup.

Picked up at today's Calgary bookcrossing meetup. I've always had it in the back of my mind to Wikipedia Joan of Arc's story - reading this book should be more entertaining than Wikipedia (although as far as fact checking goes - I'm sure inaccuracies will abound regardless in both). Looking forward to the read!

This book took me a while to get to. It's not an easy read - especially given the footnote of how the author tried to maintain historical accuracy.

Will be brought to the next Calgary bookcrossing meetup and handed off.

What an interesting story. I do love historical fiction and it is amazing to think of what she accomplished as an illiterate peasant GIRL and the abuse that she came from.

Ever since I was little I have always loved Joan of Arc's story, and have read different versions and retelling. I thought this telling of her story was very well done, and like that the author made a serious effort to keep it fairly historically accurate. I certainly learned some things about different people who fought at her side which I was not familiar with before, and also learned a couple of new things about her.

Thanks for the great read!
